Installing from the cover CD

There may be problems installing from the Standard Edition from the cover CD especially if you are using Windows 98 |

Installing may display
the error message: For installation only from PC Plus
cover CD. 1) From the Full folder on the CD copy the setup file htsstd40.exe to your hard drive to something like C:\install. 2) Click here to download the patch pcplusstdpatch.exe 3) Run the patch, selecting the directory you copied the file to (it will default to C:\install). Then install from drive C:\install\htsstd40.exe. It will ask you to identify your CD drive during the install to verify that it is from the PC Plus CD. |

You can try out the extra features of the Professional Edition by installing the setup program HTSPRO40.exe from the Trial folder on Superdisk 2. The full version of the Standard Edition may be installed on the same computer, so make sure that you chose a different folder when you install the Pro evaluation program. Create stand-alone hypertext applications that can be distributed as a single file. Ideal for demos, tutorials, brochures, catalogues... Preview the Masterclass project due in issue 187. |
